Becoming a member of St. Andrew’s means learning the basics of God’s Word from the Bible. We use Luther’s Small Catechism and lots of Bible reading to teach you over a 10-12 week period. We do not like to hurry people into joining because we know that it is a big commitment, and we also cherish our unity in doctrine very much.

In this class you will learn about right and wrong and sin (Ten Commandments), who God is and what He does (the Creed), and how to live the Christian life (The Lord’s Prayer). We also teach the benefits of baptism, confession and absolution, and the Lord’s Supper. We close by teaching the “Table of Duties,” several Bible passages that guide us in how we live as Christians. This class is very practical. Even if you are already a Lutheran, you are welcome to take it!
