Bible Study Opportunities

Sunday Morning Bible Class

"Getting into the Psalms"

[Sundays, 9:00 a.m., Lounge, resumes again Sunday, September 6]

Luther called the Book of Psalms (Psalter) a little Bible because it contains all the teachings of the rest of the Bible.  Known as the Prayerbook of the Church or the Church's Hymnal, the Psalter is a book worth delving deeply into.  Join us on Sunday mornings for coffee, tea, maybe some donoughts, and good Bible Study and prayer.

Monday: Theology Tap

[Every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Monday of the Month from 5-7 at Front Street Tavern]

We talk about theology and everything else.  First drink is on the house.  You don't need to be 21 to come!  This is a great time to get to know people better and air out concerns.

Tuesday Evening Bible Class

1st and 2nd Timothy

[Beginning Tuesday, 9/8 @ 7 pm]

This class is the most in-depth study we have.  We delve into the Scriptures and find instruction, comfort, and guidance for our lives.  We have good discussions during class, which often continue after class.  In the Fall and Spring we also often have campfires afterwards.

Sunday Table Talk

[Every 2nd and 4th Sundays]

After church we eat dinner together and go over some topic of interest.  This is mostly a time to get together and have a meal together.  The topic and talk is casual, but informative.

Adult Instruction (Lutheran Catechesis)

To be determined.  Every year, we gather up those who are interested in learning more about the basics of the Christian faith or Lutheran teaching, and we have a class. It's a great class that summarizes what the Bible teaches.  If you are interested in taking this class, please contact Pr. Preus - 214-490-6942
