Commemorations

The below represent a calendar of the great cloud of witnesses which are commemorated in our churches. While these dates are marked they certainly not occassions to either supplant regular days in the life of the church or celebrate the Lord's Supper. In marking them we are reminded that we confess in the Augsburg Confession that "Our churches teach that the remembrance of the saints is to be commended in order that we may imitate their faith and good orks according to our calling." (Augsburg Confession 21)
