Easter

Christ is risen! Alleluia! He is risen indeed! Alleluia! This is our theme throughout these "Great Fifty Days of Easter" as we celebrate our Savior's Resurrection! Of course every Sunday is a reminder of the Resurrection of our Lord, but our awareness of this is heightened and celebrated throughout this special season. In all there are seven Sundays "of" Easter. During this Eastertide which spans the time between Christ's resurrection and His sending of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter at Pentecost, we witness anew the many post-resurrection appearances of the Son of God before His Ascension into heaven. As with Easter Day, the church's song erupts with songs of Easter praise and thanksgiving! This is the church's great season of joy!
